Every now and then Matt (the husband) or I will take one of the kids away for the weekend, for a bit of one-on-one time. This particular time Jaedon and I went on a big train and bus expedition to the Maldon Railway. He still talks about it, in detail, nearly 18 months later. And I have to confess that it’s also one of my favourite times with my littlest guy.
These photos have been sitting on my hard drive since we got back, in the Too Hard folder. Mostly because it’s been Too Hard to find the time to edit them. Unfortunately, as a photographer, I find this happens a lot with personal photos because I am busy attending to client images instead.
Luck would have it though that I’ve had a chance to preview Kellie Hatcher‘s soon-to-be-released colour presets, and looking for a folder to test them out on, these photographs came straight to mind. And I think they suit each other perfectly.
Jaedon and I have had a wonderful time going back through these, and reminiscing together. And of course I can’t help but look at them and think how tiny he was back then, and wonder at what a big adventure it really must have been for him. No wonder he still talks about it. In detail. Right now he’s in his bedroom, examining the globe we recently bought him, planning the next grand adventure. I can’t wait to see what he comes up with.
Word about town is it won’t be long before Kellie’s new colour presets are released, so keep an eye out on Kellie’s blog if you’re as keen as you should be to get your hands on them.
