SUMMER | PHOTO A DAY | DAY TEN

The kids ASKED me to take their photos today.  I should have suspected something was up.  After a few minutes of them sitting in the one spot, but never still enough for me to get just one ‘normal’ expression from either of them, I gave up.  And that’s when they asked for their chocolate. You know, from the stash I use for bribery.  What can I say – I’m an easy target, and they got me good.

When I got around to actually looking at the photos I realised that their expressions were normal – for them.  Perfectly normal, and so perfectly them. Every single photo capturing a tiny part of who they are.
Today I’m grateful for kids that can’t still, especially with the prospect of chocolate over the horizon.
