Being together with family, to mark my parents’ 40th wedding anniversary, I grabbed the opportunity to get a photograph of our two with their cousins (even though one was missing, which was a shame). Mum and dad have five grandchildren, all of them blue-eyed blondes and unmistakingly related.
But it’s easy to tell the photographer’s children from those that are happy to sit still and smile for me. Or at least attempt to look vaguely in the direction of my camera. That said I probably wouldn’t change a thing about this photo – it’s exactly who they all are this moment, and I adore it.
