Jess and Marcus had a backyard wedding with a difference. Being that their backyard overlooks the mouth of Port Phillip Bay, making the blue sea and the endless sky the perfect backdrop to what was, in every way, the perfect afternoon. And for everything that made their wedding celebrations so wonderful – the details, their circle of family and friends, the surprise fireworks, the perfect moonlit ambience, the epic party that was still in full swing as I left in the wee hours of the morning – it was Jess and Marcus themselves that added the fullness to the beauty of it all. It was the joy and the love they shared, for each other and for each person present. It was their generous spirits and their big, open hearts. It was being present in every moment of their celebration, and making their gratefulness felt for every person there to share it with them known. And it was Marcus writing his love for Jess across the sky (seriously – surprise fireworks for his bride – best present ever!!).
Thank you to these beautiful two for having me there for the day, and for trusting me in the last moments to see your day as it was meant to be. And thank you for allowing me to see your hearts as well.
