…and the things that fill me with it.
o Birds whistling as I wake.
o Sleeping in.
o Chocolate.
o Impromptu kisses from my children.
o Unexpected phone calls in the middle of the day from my husband, just to say hello.
o Surprise parcels in the mail.
o Mail.
o Cloudless skies.
o Sunsets.
o Jumping in puddles.
o Long, hot showers with the bathroom door closed.
o Friends.
o A great movie.
o A great movie with Denzel Washington in it.
o Strawberry Cream Liquor.
o Spontaneous laughter.
o Spontaneous laughter that leads to crying, and forgetting what was funny in the first place.
o Hugs.
o Space.
o Bright Colours.
o Orange.
o Making lists of the things that bring me joy.
It’s quite a therapeutic thing, you know, to sit down and think of all the things that make happiness bubble up inside your heart. Then to think of all the things that you still could add if you had the time, or space to write them down.
There are many more things than those listed above that fill me with joy, these were just the first that came to mind. I’m sure I’ll add more as time marches on. But one specific thing that I didn’t include (or should I say two things) are being creative, and doing what I can for other people (that don’t expect it, and don’t include tidying up after them. 🙂 ). So while I’m rolling with the spontaneous theme from yesterday, I’m going to try help make some happiness bubble up in someone else’s heart, and infect some others along the way.
I want to hear one specific thing that fills you with joy. Write it down in the comment box below, sometime before Midnight, Melbourne time, this Sunday (the 13th). I’m going to take my favourite from all the bubbles of happiness and give a little something back.
Some of you know that I love to sew, when I have time. These next couple of weeks, due to me not taking bookings in December, I have some time. Enough of it to make someone special in your life a beautiful little dress. I found the most gorgeous, happy coloured material yesterday which inpsired me, partly, to do this. I need to spread the happiness around.
You may recall these pictures from another post sometime ago:
The dress that I have up for grabs will be made from the same pattern, in any size up to a size 7. And it will include the following material:
So start thinking joyful thoughts, and get those fingers typing. Spread the word – you don’t have to be a regular to post here. Just bring a smile to my face, and to those that add to the list. Lets get the warm and fuzzies happening. 🙂
