AMANDA AND SIMON | A SNEAKY PEEK

What a crazy week, weather-wise, here in Melbourne.  I can’t remember it ever being so cold and so wet and so windy, all in one week.  And of course it had to be the week leading up to Amanda and Simon’s wedding.
If I’m honest, the weather report for the day scared me. Scattered showers. Winds. 12 degrees.  I’ve never had to shoot  a wedding in the rain before. Or a wedding in the rain on a cold and windy day.  But I needn’t have worried so much. Despite the fact that when I left the wedding venue (having had a pre-ceremony peep) it was still raining, by the time I’d arrived at Amanda’s house to photograph the preparations the sun was out, and was content to shine on the happy couple for the rest of the day.
But in saying all that, it would have been a beautiful day regardless.  And it was a beautiful day, the sun only serving to illuminate the love and laughter that filled the spaces around them.

Hopefully they’re enjoying some more of that wonderful sunshine on their honeymoon, along with lots of love and laughter.

I can’t wait to share more of this beautiful day soon.
