I photographed these four wonderful strangers within the space of 30 minutes. I spent no more than 5 minutes with any of them and yet I vividly recall each one of them. So unique were they in their personality, and yet so alike in their willingness to take part in my madness. Even now I’m still grateful for their openess, their trust, the honest smiles, and the brief connections.
I only have to photograph one more stranger to meet my challenge for this month, but I’m going to twist it up a little. And because I want to ‘have’ to do it, because everyone knows about it, I’m going to tell you that I plan to make my next stranger two strangers – a couple, that is. I guess in my mind I want to make this a bit more relevant to the type of photography I love, and a bit more representative of what I strive to capture. Maybe somewhere down the line I’ll shoot couples exclusively, but for now I’m happy to mix it up a bit, and see who I meet along the way. But keep your eye out for the next installment and see if I can rise to the challenge.
