BFFs

She emailed me, worried that her request was a bit too ‘out of the ordinary’.  It wasn’t a common one, but I’d done it before, and have a few more similar sessions lined up down the track.
Sian’s best friend was having a birthday soon and she wanted to gift her with a portrait session for the both of them, simply capturing them who they are as friends.  I thought it was a great idea.
Sian and Katie live in the area that Matt and I will be building shortly, and as we travel there several times a week, and have a nice big, treed area of land, just sitting there doing nothing, we thought it would be a great place to meet up.  So the girls met me there, along with Katie’s guitar, a few of Sian’s favourite books, some drumsticks (they couldn’t quite fit the kit in the car) and bag full of giggles.

These girls were so much fun to shoot. Up for anything, and willing to follow me around our overgrown, muddy patch of land for that perfect location.  They made the best of wherever we stopped though, and were always finding something to laugh about.  They reminded me very much of what my teen years were like – which seems like forever ago.  I did feel kind of old walking away from their session.  🙂

Thanks guys for a fun afternoon. For being yourselves, and for trusting me capture you doing just that.
