One of the first things we’re going to buy to put on the block is a swing set. Followed by a hammock. Both of them designed to keep Jaedon amused and happy while we’re there.
We spent the day visiting cousin Tilly today, and playing with her toys. But by far the most fun he had was on their hammock. I can’t remember the amount of times I came close to having a heart attack as he wrapped himself in the fabric and tipped himself upside down, to face the concrete below. But it’s like a magnet each time we go there (as is anything that has an element of danger) so we’re hoping it would have the same effect at the block. At the moment it’s a battle to get him out of the car, so we’re willing to try anything. And I’m sure mummy will enjoy the benefits of it also.
Alicia-Rae’s choice of fun activities at her cousins’ is of course playing in the the dirt. They have a dog that loves to dig, and leave half started holes around the yard. Alicia-Rae sees it as her mission in life to finish them off for him. One day she’s going to uncover something that’s not quite dirt – but that probably wouldn’t faze her either.
Here she is with both her hands full of dirt, and her joy at throwing it at mummy. Thankfully she hasn’t got a very good aim just yet.
