We have a chocoholic in our house. And it’s not me. Well, not this time. 🙂
Daddy had slipped out this afternoon while Alicia-Rae was napping, and I was on the pc editing some photos. Jaedon was outside – or so I thought. When daddy arrived back home Jaedon came rushing out of the kitchen area to greet him, munching on something. Apon inspection we found a half munched block of Cadbury’s Caramello, which used to be in the fridge, sitting on the dining table. And the remainder smeared around Jaedon’s mouth. Hmmmm. Guilty till proven otherwise.
He wasn’t very happy when we told him off and took it away – but it was nothing a good cuddle from daddy couldn’t fix. And, again, we were amazed by the fact that no matter how much trouble our children may find themselves in, or how mad either of us might get at them, they still come to us to be comforted. We find great joy in them being so secure of our love for them, and pray that they always retain that faith in us.
And onto lighter matters, 🙂 – we decided to make the most of the typical Melbourne weather today by window shopping for tiles and flooring for our house yet to be built. We’ve decided that we have a lot of work cut out for us if we have to take the kids along each time we go to pick out building materials. I think we spent more time entertaining the kids than we did actually looking at anything. Still, we discovered that Alicia-Rae loves sitting in the shopping trolleys, especially when daddy dances and sings for her. But she was pretty happy just being taken for a ride. For a few minutes anyway.
