We had cousin Tilly over for the day again today. Jaedon just loves having her around.
To save them getting too bored at home I decided to take them on a bus ride to a local plaza with a really cool playground attached (ie really cool in the eyes of 3-4 year olds 🙂 ). I think the bus ride was the best part for the both of them though. Not so much for me as I was the one continually getting in trouble for letting my children press the stop button…
I’m guessing it was a big day for my boy though, as not long after Tilly and her mum left Jaedon curled up on the sofa and was fast asleep. And he stayed that way for nearly 90 minutes – despite my many attempts to wake him (getting late in the day I was worried he wouldn’t want to go to bed when he was supposed to), knowing full well that if I’d wanted him to sleep he’d have been awake at the sound of the carpet fibres rustling as I took a step towards the kitchen to make myself a cup of coffee. 🙂
And I know I said I didn’t want a collection of photos of my children in the bath because I didn’t have the time or imagination to do anything else, but I couldn’t help myself. 🙂
I actually took a gazillion photos of Alicia-Rae, mostly up to things she shouldn’t have been (but were fun and that’s the point), but was a sucker for this shot. Daddy had literally just walked in the door from work and this was her reaction to seeing him. It’s such a blessing to have children that absolutely adore their daddy, and to see it written all over their beautiful little faces.
